Welcome to MEF Uganda
We are a grassroots, community-led organization based in Namisindwa District, Eastern Uganda. Our mission is to uplift minors (children and adolescents under 18 years), youth, and vulnerable families by addressing the root causes of poverty, illiteracy, poor health, and environmental degradation.
Founded in 2018 by dedicated social workers, teachers, and local leaders, MEF Uganda has grown into a trusted name in the region. We have directly supported over 2,500 minors in the last three years through our five core programs.
Five Core Objectives
Integrated, community-led programs that address the root causes of vulnerability in Namisindwa District.
Environmental Conservation
Planting trees, running eco-clubs, managing plastic waste, and training Young Environmental Ambassadors.
Inclusive Education
Keeping every child in school including those with disabilities, girls, and orphans.
Public Health & WASH
Clean water, safe sanitation, hygiene education, and menstrual health support for girls.
Economic Resilience
Vocational training, savings groups, and small business support for families.
Sustainable Livelihoods
Organic farming, beekeeping, energy-saving stoves, and climate-smart agriculture.
